  • Olympic Points: The following nations are qualified with a women's team for Torino 2006:
    CAN, DEN, ITA, GBR, JPN, NOR, RUS, SUI, SWE, USA
    CHN is ranked 11th and could get a spot when one of the qualified nations decline the invitation

  • SWE plays USA in the play-off 1/2 game (both teams are sure of a medal). CAN wil play the play-off 3/4 game vs.NOR (winner of the tie-breaker vs. RUS)

  • Competition Format:
    The 12 teams will play a Round Robin on 4 sheets (17 sessions). The top 4 teams qualify for the play-offs (if necessary, tie-breakers will be played to determine these 4 teams). The play-offs will be played using the page system: First ranked team playes second (winner advances to the final, loser plays semifinal), third plays fourth (winner advances to semifinal, loser out). Winner of semifinal qualified as second team for the final, loser gets Bronze medal.
